Trustly partners with Nordnet bank to enable instant deposits
By Gloria Methri
Swedish FinTech Trustly has entered a strategic partnership with Nordnet, the digital platform for savings and investments. Under the partnership, Trustly’s instant payments platform will enable Nordnet customers to deposit funds fast and securely, with an improved user experience.
“I am delighted with our Nordnet partnership and that our pay-ins now will be fully integrated into Nordnet. We are very proud to be a part of making it easier and more secure for private investors to deposit funds,” said Ciaran O’Malley, VP Sales Financial Services and Ecom, Trustly.
Enabling Trustly pay-ins will provide capabilities to offer instant deposits across the Nordic region – even in markets where instant payments are not available, all with one single integration.
Since partnering with Trustly, Nordnet’s customers are now able to instantly make large deposits in a few simple steps without needing to navigate away from the Nordnet webpage. Trustly pay-ins are now live in Sweden.
Initially, the service is being launched in Sweden and made available to new customers who are signing up for a Nordnet account. The service will launch in Norway during the first quarter of 2023, and in Denmark and Finland later during the year.
Rasmus Järborg, Chief Product Officer and Deputy CEO at Nordnet said, “Trustly’s technology and customer focus made them a natural choice and good fit for Nordnet in our ongoing work to build the best platform for savings and investments. After opening an account on Nordnet’s platform, customers need to deposit money before they can start their investment journey. Finding a quick and smooth way of doing this is therefore core to the experience. With Trustly, our customers are able to fund their accounts instantly and start discovering what stocks or funds they want to buy.”
