GBSTGlobal WealthTech company GBST has appointed Simon Clare as Head of Product Innovation.

In this newly created global role based out of London, Simon will take responsibility for GBST’s innovation program, leading the charge in defining and shaping the company’s visionary strategy including its flagship Composer wealth administration platform, the digital wealth platform Catalyst, its growing range of interactive financial tools and calculators, and the newly acquired WealthConnect advisor practice management system based on Salesforce.

Simon has worked in financial services technology for more than twenty years, in both Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer roles in wealth and asset management. He has experience across the UK, South African, Australian, and continental European markets. Before joining GBST, Simon was Chief Product Officer at FE fundinfo. Prior to that, he spent nine years working for Bravura and eight at DST Global Solutions (now SS&C Technology).

Robert DeDominicis, CEO at GBST said, “Simon brings a vast amount of industry knowledge and experience to GBST, as well as a proven track record in delivering technology vision within the wealth management sector. We’ve spent the last few years transforming the underlying tech stack of our Composer platform, but innovation in wealth management doesn’t stand still. As part of our growth strategy, we’re committed to the ongoing development of our products, services, and technology to meet the evolving needs of our clients, end investors and the wider market.”

Simon added, “GBST’s commitment to innovation is clear from its focus on creating a digital-first experience through its range of wealth management technology from the back-office administration platform to its front-end portals and interactive calculators. I’m excited to join this dynamic, passionate team and build on the existing culture of innovation. I’m looking forward to supporting business growth through the expansion of products and services delivered to new and existing territories.”
