Nu Colombia, Nubank, saving goals, credit card, Financial Superintendence of Colombia, digital financial services, savings accounts, personal loans, Fintech news, Fintech USNu Mexico, a subsidiary of Nubank, has partnered with Felix Pago to launch an option to receive money from the United States through WhatsApp.

The newly added feature aims to simplify the process of sending money between the US and Mexico by using technology to provide a fast, secure, and efficient experience for customers.

“Offering the functionality of receiving money in Cuenta Nu, now from the United States and in alliance with Félix Pago, is one more step towards our purpose of financially empowering people in Mexico. Our country has established itself as the second largest recipient of money from abroad worldwide and this new functionality allows us to continue expanding our footprint in the country by offering a simple, easy, safe and fast option,” said Iván Canales, general director of Nu México.

In the Nu app, customers can effortlessly start the process of receiving money from the United States. They start it by generating a send money request link within the Nu app, which comes pre-loaded with essential details about the recipient’s Nu Account. This link is then conveniently shared with the sender via WhatsApp.

The sender interacts with the Felix chatbot directly within WhatsApp, eliminating the need to download additional applications. Sending money from the US to Mexico is handled by Félix Pago. Once the sender completes the operation, funds will be received instantly in MXN via SPEI into the Nu Account. In addition, it can generate returns of 15% annually when stored in “Boxes”.

“This alliance with Nu demonstrates the commitment we have to our customers, Latinos in the US and their families in Mexico. At Félix we continue working to make remittances as easy, fast and comfortable as possible. Part of making it easier is helping more and more Latinos use digital channels to make these cross-border transactions instead of using cash, with Nu we are making this happen,” said Manuel Godoy, CEO and Co-Founder of Félix Pago.
