ETpay enters Mexico, enabling merchants a new way to offer payments
By Edlyn Cardoza
In the midst of the growing post-pandemic demand for new ways to pay with and without a card online and in person, ETpay landed in Mexico, a platform that offers a new form of online payments without the need for a card.
Through its Pay-by-bank platform, it offers a solution to merchants that simplifies the payment experience for customers, making immediate transfers online through CoDi and SPEI technology with its ‘Quick transfer’ product, thus positioning itself as the first company to offer these services.
One of the most significant advantages of this new solution is that, unlike other means of payment, ETpay does not retain cash; the funds go directly to the merchant’s bank account, which benefits the control and liquidity of the companies. The use of payment with a mobile number through CoDi also eliminates waiting times between transactions, making the experience very simple, fast, and secure for users and merchants.
In addition to the ‘Payment links’ solution, the company delivers as a second product, a new transfer system that allows businesses to charge in person or even the possibility of generating collection links and sending them to their customers so that they can pay only with the cell phone number, simplifying the payment system.
Once the merchant contacts ETpay, it acquires two solutions on the one hand, ‘Quick transfer’ that is linked through integration in the merchant’s website and, on the other hand, the new product ‘Payment links’ that allows you to manage payments through the ETpay back office and generate collections in person. The platform provides the security of quickly and efficiently managing all transactions, in addition to maintaining control and view of funds in real time.
ETpay is the solution with the lowest transaction fees in the market since it offers plans tailored to each merchant in proportion to the transactions and average ticket of the merchant; the possibilities range from a fixed fee per transaction or a low percentage per transfer. A plus is that the collection of services is made monthly, with a credit of 15 calendar days, where only successful transactions are charged.
At the brand level, ETpay is characterised by designing ‘white labeling’ solutions, which offers the possibility of maintaining and encouraging the merchant’s brand, that is, the payment button can be customised with both colors or its own design. This improves the experience, loyalty, and purchase conversion to users within the site.
Some important companies in Chile, such as Cencosud, Nestlé and Movistar, and in Mexico, QuieroMiPC and Almacén Gurú, have already integrated ETpay’s solution, and it is estimated that growth during 2023 will be very relevant in Mexico.
