MANGOPAY, PayPal collaborate on payment solutions for marketplaces
By Gloria Methri
MANGOPAY and PayPal have decided to strengthen their long-term strategic cooperation to provide marketplaces with quick access to PayPal’s global payment methods and capabilities. This cooperation will allow marketplaces to build a dynamic payment experience and provide additional choice to their end-users by making PayPal available.
The latest expansion between MANGOPAY and PayPal is a result of a long-term collaboration between the two companies. Since 2016, MANGOPAY and PayPal have cooperated to empower global marketplaces to leverage PayPal payment capabilities and enable fast domestic and cross-border digital payments.
As the marketplace industry continues to grow, the payment experience remains a key differentiator for such players. Enhancing MANGOPAY’s pay-in and pay-out capabilities with PayPal is seen as a meaningful step towards driving global growth for marketplaces.
Marketplaces working with MANGOPAY will now be able to personalise their payment experience through a single integration, simplifying operations for merchants. Going forward, the expanded cooperation aspires to enable marketplaces to maximise their value by fully leveraging PayPal’s streamlined processes.
“PayPal’s historical collaboration with some of the world’s largest marketplaces aligns with MANGOPAY’s mission to unleash platform growth by reducing complexity in today’s borderless world,” explained Romain Mazeries, CEO of MANGOPAY. “Payment choice and flexibility have always been a critical part of a successful marketplace experience. Platforms today must address complex payment needs to help drive increased conversion. That is why our expanded strategic cooperation with PayPal is key and will allow us to build the most comprehensive payment environment that platforms need to succeed.”
David Bruce, Global Head of Channel Partnerships, PayPal highlighted, “Marketplaces are growing fast and need strong support when it comes to payments. MANGOPAY enables marketplaces to unlock amazing payment experiences for buyers and sellers. Our digital payment method is already used by many marketplaces, and we are happy to embark on this new journey with MANGOPAY.”
