Ingenico announces Laurent Blanchard as new CEO

Ingenico, France, PayTech, Biometric Payment Solution, Contactless PaymentsIngenico, the global leader in payments acceptance solutions, has appointed Laurent Blanchard as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He was also appointed member of the Supervisory Board, and its election to its board of directors, effective April 3rd, 2023.

Blanchard is an experienced global executive with a 25-year track record in the technology sector, particularly in Europe and North America.

Prior to joining Ingenico, Blanchard served as the Chief Operating Officer of Cegid, where he successfully led the company’s transformation to a cloud-based software business. Prior to that, he held several senior positions at major global companies such as IBM, HP, and Cisco.

Blanchard will be based in Paris but will spend meaningful time in Ingenico’s largest markets, working closely with regional teams and customers to accelerate the firm’s journey toward a solutions-oriented company. He is touted to bolster Ingenico’s transformation and to take its Android AXIUM range of solutions, its Terminal-as-a-Service (TaaS) leadership, and cloud-based Payments-Platform-as-a-Service (PPaaS) initiatives to the next level.

Gerrard Schmid and Rolf Stangl will step down as co-CEOs and will continue with their roles as members of Ingenico’s Supervisory Board, working closely with Laurent, and other Board directors.
