Monneo appoints Steve Wilson as Head of Compliance

Steve Wilson, Head of Compliance, Monneo

Monneo has announced the hire of payments industry veteran and risk expert, Steve Wilson as its new Head of Compliance. The company, which offers end-to-end payments solutions for the eCommerce industry, will leverage Wilson’s expertise to further enhance the performance of its existing Onboarding, Risk, and Compliance teams.

With more than 25 years working within the payments industry, Wilson has held several important positions for many leading companies.  He served as an Operations Manager for JCB for over three years, as the Head of Compliance, and as VP of Risk at Visa Europe for nine years. He has also worked in executive and consultancy roles for various European FinTech companies for over a decade.

Wilson will assist Monneo as it further adapts to the evolving regulatory and risk landscape within the FinTech sector.

Speaking on the hiring of Wilson, Monneo’s Managing Director, Lili Metodieva commented, “Compliancy is a major priority for Monneo, and our exceptional Onboarding, Risk, and Compliance teams work tirelessly to ensure it’s something that we’re always on top of.
