COTI partners with Occam.fi to explore strategic Co-Development
By Joy Dumasia
COTI, the first company in the world to offer a Cardano (ADA) payment gateway in association with the Cardano Foundation, will partner with Occam.fi to explore potential development synergies, including the possibility of enabling users to participate in initial decentralised offerings in ADA through the OccamRazer launchpad.
The strategic partnership, still in its early exploration phase, will look for opportunities to merge the launchpad capabilities of OccamRazer with the ADA payments solutions offered by COTI.
In April 2021, COTI made history on Cardano when it launched ADA Pay and onboarding multinational charity Save the Children as its first merchant making seamless payments in ADA available from anywhere in the world.
Shahaf Bar-Geffen, CEO at COTI, said: “As fellow cFund recipients, it makes sense for COTI and Occam.fi to explore potential synergies for the good of the entire Cardano ecosystem. One of OccamRazer’s most significant challenges to date has been delivering ADA payments for initial decentralised offerings on their Cardano launchpad, which would allow them to solve the Ethereum gas problem and vastly increase value for their users. As one of the first ADA payment gateways, we’re excited to explore the possibility of delivering this functionality to the Occam.fi team.”
Elliot Hill, Head of Communications at Occam.fi, said: “COTI are true experts in making ADA payments available for services, empowering ADA holders and Cardano enthusiasts to use their holdings in the real world. It’s an exciting opportunity to work alongside COTI as we explore potential synergies and co-development milestones both before and after the release of smart contracts on Cardano.”
Recently, IBS Intelligence reported that The Occam Association is pleased to reveal that it has entered into a strategic partnership with MELD, a decentralised non-custodial lending protocol built on and for Cardano.
